Stall, stall, and stall. Get rid of all your opponents switch resources and wait until your opponent draws out. How does this strategy even work? Good Question. This deck relies entirely on depleting your opponent from their resources (items) and promoting Pokémon into the active spot who aren’t threats to your Snorlax. Once your opponent is out of switching options or ways to knock out your Pokémon you sit and wait until your opponent forfeits. How is this even possible? This is all made a reality with supporter cards like Misfortune Sisters, Sidney, Giacomo, Counter catcher, Erika’s Invitation, and Echoing Horn. These cards synergize to prevent your opponent from playing their deck’s strategy.
Every single card is an answer to any response your opponent might pull off. Let's not forget the Pokémon who also contributes to the “control” aspect of this deck Snorlax with its “Block” ability. This ability makes your opponent's active Pokemon too not be able to retreat without some sort of switch item your opponent's Pokémon is a sitting Psyduck in the active. Mimikyu’s “Safeguard” ability and Pidgeot V’s “Vanishing Wings” ability keeps you in the game in those long games that you might draw out. This deck can be quite infuriating when going up against it but if you’re in the pilot seat you’ll be enjoying the view of the match.
