With no direct method to sign up for a Pokémon regional event in 2024, you must jump through many hoops to participate and secure a spot at the Pokémon Regional Championship. My first time signing up for a Pokémon regional event was kind of mind-boggling. I didn’t see anything on the official Pokémon site, and everywhere I looked had links to non-Pokémon destinations that felt a bit unsafe.
So, I decided to create a step-by-step guide to finding and registering for Pokémon regional events to help you sign up for your first-ever regional Pokémon event in 2024.
You’ll find all the Pokémon Regional and Special Championship schedules [here]. They also provide a lot of useful information about their Pokémon competitive play Regionals like prizing, the 2024 Pokémon Championship series, and more.
I found an event I’d like to join—now, how do I register?
This is where things get tricky. The Pokémon International Company doesn’t directly host the regional or international Pokémon events. Instead, they partner with third-party organizers like Day2 Events, Gallery Games, and others to manage and host these events throughout the season.
These third-party organizers use RK9.gg to handle the Pokémon regional event registration. That means you’ll first want to create an account on RK9.gg and then follow Day2 Events, Gallery Games, and other Pokémon event organizers on X (formerly Twitter) to stay up to date on Pokémon regional event registration times and dates. They tend to announce registration weeks before the actual Pokémon event is scheduled (you can find the event dates on the Pokémon website).
Hope this guide assists you in making the Pokémon regional event registration process a bit easier.
Good luck at your first Pokémon Regional in 2024!
